Personality:
Roy appears as a beast of a man, especially in comparison when behind his small desk at work. Legend has it that he wrestles beartics for fun... and wins every time. It is also not too unusual to have him flip his desk in a fit of rage when things aren't as planned. Or just to make a statement. Roy would probably look for opportunities to flip his desk. Or you.

Despite his demeanor, Roy is often outgoing, and enjoys the company of his colleagues. He also enjoys the company of female companions... but can never seem to keep them for any long term relations.

Backstory:
Back in the 'Great War' 30 years ago, Roy was considered somewhat of a hero for Johto. It didn't take long for him to climb the ranks in the army, and thus become a field marshal. Roy was most famous for pioneering many winter warfare techniques, as well as considered humane in the capture of his enemies and no record of war crimes.

After the Great War, Roy has found a home in the political world, taking up the role as the prestigious Minister of Defense. He is your direct line between the battle field and the President.

Although Roy is proud of his position, and run his staff with an iron fist, he can't help but miss the battlefield. In fact, it isn't too unusual to see him out on the field with you (most likely shouting orders at you <3 )

Roy's not-so-best-kept-secret is that he loves Farfetch. Although he has yet to have any quality time with one, he believes that it will someday evolve into one of the most fearsome pokemon. No one knows where he got this idea....

Pokémon

Vladimir | Beartic | Hardy Nature | Snow Cloak | Male:
Similar to his trainer, Vladimir is terrifying to even some of the bravest of souls. It isn't unusual to see him bearing his teeth at you. Roy still struggles to see Vladimir as anything above a pet, and thus he brings his 'pet' around with him on a leash. Vladimir gets to go to the movies... on the battle field... the bar... a blanket at night... Roy needs to get a life.


Thatcher | Vaporeon | Jolly Nature | Water Absorb | Female:
Thatcher is considered 10x more a pet then Vladimir. Thatcher can usually be found as a 'trophy' perched on Roy's desk, or rolling on his papers ala: [link] She was also a gift to Roy from the president, and thus gets the royal treatment. This includes a tiny children's swimming pool in his office. Got to keep his baby happy <3 Now deceased.

Nixon | Braviary | Bold Nature | Keen Eye | Male:
Although a spectacle to look at, Nixon doesn't have much going for brains. He often uses the attack 'brave bird' to say hello. Needless to say Nixon stays in his pokeball more then the other two. Currently Roy is trying to train Nixon as a 'steed' but can't seem to get the hang of controlling him for long without the giant bird getting distracted. Maybe some more time in the air force will do it some good.

Kyivan | Abomasnow | Lonely Nature | Snow Warning | Male:
A beast of an animal, Kyivan stands (on four legs) at an impressive 20 feet tall. While Kyivan appears as a snarling mega beast of a creature, this only happens when in the presence of a crowd. In nature Kyivan is just a big peaceful giant.

Ky isn't released very often due to his unpredictable nature, and that it always brings a snowstorm with it. This is very troublesome when not everyone enjoys giant beasts or snowstorms as much as you do.

Hirohito | Ninetails | Docile Nature | Flash Fire | Male:
Hirohito and Roy have been 'partners' since the Great War. Because Hiro is usually seen by Roy's side it often confused to be part of his team. However it wanders in and out of his life and only seems to appear when needed.

In the first years of the Great War, Hirohito was regarded as a menace to villagers of Snowpoint. Stories circulated that whoever kills and eats the heart of the beast will gain the powers of the North. While the story was vague, Roy made it his goal to join the cannonfodder troupe to Snowpoint in hopes to find the beast.

While their paths did cross, the circumstances were different than planned. Through a domino of events, Roy saved Hiro, and eventually Hiro repayed the favour... with a curse. OH FOREBODING. When asked what happened, he merely states he is now king of the north. No one argues with his delusions.
